The Student Ministry at Emerald Coast Fellowship includes 6th-12th grade students.
Our mid-week ministry is called REFUGE and begins at 6:00 PM on Wednesdays. Why REFUGE? A refuge is a safe place, a place free from danger and distraction. We want to be intentional about creating an environment that is safe, loving, open, and full of excitement about getting into God’s Word and seeing how it can change us from the inside out. REFUGE happens each Wednesday night from 6-7 PM in the youth room. Pizza is delivered at 5:45 PM and provides a few minutes for the teens to connect.
REFUGE is a student worship experience. The design behind this hour together is to create a place that encourages friendships, fun, and growth spiritually. We open the Bible to learn truth and examine how it applies in the lives of the teenagers. Games, videos, music, and more are used during this time. The point of what we do is the teenagers. It is about knowing the teens and their knowing God. Along the way we hope to encourage parents any way we can.
Throughout the year Cindy South leads a Girls' Bible study in her home.
During the summer the schedule will change a bit. Stay tuned to the calendar or call the church office for details. We will fill the summer with activity on Wednesday and Sunday evenings with everything from Summer Camp at Ridgecrest, North Carolina to pool parties and a whole lot in between.
